Call for Submissions CADHHEP’s 2nd annual conference

The Canadian Association for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education and Plurilingualism (CADHHEP) invites you to present at our second annual conference. CADHHEP is an organization started by a group of graduate students at Simon Fraser University and focuses on how interdisciplinary educational research can be actively implemented in the field of education in order to advocate for social and environmental justice in marginalized communities. This year’s conference is titled Blurring†Boundaries∫†Interdisciplinary†Approaches†to†Education and provokes discussion on ways in which different sectors of education can intersect and potentially blur arbitrary boundaries. We welcome all types of educators, as well as researchers and scholars, to present their work or share their experiences within the framework of interdisciplinary educational research. In the spirit of interdisciplinary work, we invite all types of presentations, such as papers, collaborative, creative performances and professional development opportunities.

Presentations slots will be between 10 and 20 minutes depending on the number of participants. The presentations will be followed by a discussion around the general topic. Please email an outline of your presentation (200 words) and a brief bio (50 words) to

Let Us Celebrate the Beginning of Our Journey (June 26, 2014)

With many of the like-minded fellows getting together, we gratefully celebrate the very first step embarking on our tremendous journey to our bright future. We held our first official committee/executive board meeting on June, 26 2014 to formally declare the establishment of our association. (Board of Executives established on the 5th day of May, 2014)
